Assignment task:
HIM professionals need to be able to compare and understand different classification systems and understand the challenges of the ACO environment.
1. Evaluate and research the purposes and uses of these four classification systems (ICD-10-CM, ICD-11, and SNOMED Concept ID and Read Code).
2. Develop a 2-page APA formatted paper.
- Your paper will compare and contrast these four classification systems. Please include who would use these systems, what the systems are, when, where and why the systems are used, and how you will effectively manage the data base.
- Evaluate the importance of mapping between the systems and how a data dictionary, data modeling, and data warehousing is related to data mapping. Include at least two peer-reviewed references. HINT: Be sure to include SNOMED's relationship/use in the EHR.
