Since this medication is metabolized in the liver I would get a CMP to check the liver enzymes, and since this population has a higher rate of hepatitis B/C than the general population. Finally, I would check the thyroid due to hypothyroidism / hyperthyroidism can contribute to mood disorders. I routinely get urinary drug screens to rule out substance use, again due to the high rates of drug abuse in this population.
