When you feel comfortable that you know what your most deeply-held values and goals are, personal mission statement and share it to the discussion board.
This statement should include:
- Expressions of what is most important that you accomplish in your life (for example, "provide a stable, loving home to my children," or "show gratitude to everyone I come in contact with.").
- Expressions of who you are (for example, "I am honest and self-confident" or "I am a loving father.")
- Expressions of what you believe (for example, "I believe I can accomplish my goals if I work hard," or "I believe that having a career that lets me express my values is more important than making a lot of money.")
But beyond those "must haves" feel free to get creative with your personal mission statement. For example, some people's personal mission statement is a poem, a story, or even a drawing. (If you choose to do something visual like a drawing, include a written explanation of all the parts so your instructor and classmates have a way to interpret it!)
Type out your mission statement on the discussion board (or scan it and attach the PDF). Then, spend some time browsing the mission statements of your classmates. Tell at least two people what you like best about their personal mission statement.
