Two university students created a new venture that produces and sells “herb walls.” These are vertical herb-growing towers that can be mounted side-by-side on walls (or used to form new partition walls). These towers allow restaurants to grow fresh herbs continually on-site with little spoilage, while offering a unique dining atmosphere. The vertical towers take up half the space used by traditional growing methods, and use only 10% of the water because the water is recycled in the system. The clients can grow their herbs from seed, or they can have the company grow the herbs until ready for the first harvest.
