TV Guide magazine ran a cover photo for a story emphasizing Oprah Winfrey’s weight loss. The photo was a computer composite, superimposing Oprah Winfrey’s head on the body of Ann-Margret. Neither woman knew of the photo in advance of publication; obviously, neither had granted permission for it. Does this appear to violate any law or moral standards? How could this situation be covered in a code of ethics? Was this a management decision?
