In what ways have trends and events in U.S history, and the stories about them, affected women's diverse roles in the family, labor force, and in societal formation?
I'm talking about Chicano/ Chicana's history. I'm doing my research about Chicana's literature; their struggle with discrimination, gender role/ how the literature helped them to gain their power, confidence, and how they use it as a way to forget all the struggles that they face. I need to write an essay of 6 pages. The authors that I may use to support my claim are: Lorna Dee Cervantes and her poem "Yong White Man Poem" and "Beneath the Shadow of the Freeway"; and Pat Mora and her poem is "Sonrisas"; and Denise Chavez
Required minimum 6-8 page
