Treating an entire family for a few years

Problem:

You have been treating an entire family for a few years. Today, the mother brings in her 11-year-old son who had fallen off his bike two days ago. He is currently walking with a limp, which has gotten a bit worse since the accident. He points to his left hip as the area of complaint, so you decide to x-ray the patient and take a single AP Pelvis view. Upon a quick glance at the image, you only see a little soft tissue swelling but you think for a moment... What else can you do to confirm the findings are negative? (not just imaging, think clinically as well) Would you take any other x-ray views? If so, which ones? What lines, if any, can be drawn to assess this patient?
