Travel and Transportation Capital Bikeshare is a Washington, D.C., organization sponsored by several agencies that offers short-term use of over 1650 bicycles to registered members. There are approximately 175 bicycle stations in the District of Columbia, Arlington County, and the City of Alexandria, Virginia.12 To distribute bicycles appropriately to stations, a survey is conducted each year to determine the home location and work location of members. The following table contains the historical proportions associated with each home location and a summary of a random sample of members in 2014.
