Your plan to evaluate training should ideally begin taking shape as you create the learning objectives and intended outcomes for your program, and should be directly tied to them. Evaluation is actually the way that you measure how well your training did developing the Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes your TNA uncovered as necessary but deficient, and how much of an impact the training has on addressing the organizational problem it was designed in whole or part to resolve.

For the purpose of this assignment, you will CONTINUE WITH THE ORGANIZATION YOU USED IN ASSIGNMENT 1 AND…elaborate on the evaluation plan you shared with us in Discussion 2 in Week 7 – providing me with more detail about exactly what you will measure and how you will measure it. You can use Kirkpatrick’s model of training evaluation (detailed on the next page) or any other multi-level model that works for you. You will just need to tell me exactly how you plan to collect data. For example, if you say you are going to use a reaction survey at the end of the training- what kinds of questions will you be asking? What exactly do you want to know about participants’ experiences in the training? When will you have participants complete the survey – in class? Online? This paper does not have to be long – just a page our two at the most should be able to capture the entirety of your plan.

Complete your evaluation plan as a written report. Use the resources from this course and others from the UMUC library or the web and/or your organization to help you create your evaluation plan.
