TQM Some of my previous students not Save the Children Magnolia as an organization that leverages benchmarking in an effective way in their business.
I think it is fascinating when you can look at benchmarking in industries that drive improvements in quality that have a direct impact on people lives, specifically children. It has to be incredibly rewarding to participate in a program that protects children around the world. In my mind this would put tremendous pressure on the business to address the gaps in performance to try to reach world-class levels since the penalty for failure would mean less protection and advocacy for the children. This is clearly a benchmarking program worthy of every effort to bridge the gap and drive improvement in my opinion.
Does your business have a timeframe in which to get to world class?
