Activity Objectives
1. To apply the concepts of buoyancy and Archimedes' Principle.
2. To practice the use of free-body diagrams and the application of Newton's 2nd Law.
3. To apply the skill of examining theoretical equations in determining how to obtain linear behavior in a graph of experimental data.
4. To obtain calculated values of real physical quantities by comparing experimental results to predictions obtained from theoretical equations.
5. To use experimental uncertainties to determine whether results calculated from experimental data agree with values obtained indepen-dently.
