News Analysis
This weekly assignment will require students to read either local or national newspapers (Dayton Daily News, USA Today, and New York Times for example) in order to keep up with current events. Find an Article about one of the social problems discussed in that academic week and write a 2-page reaction paper about the article. This writing should include a brief summary of the article, statement of the social problem and what you feel about it. You should also make reference to and apply sociological theories, themes and concepts used in the textbook.
