This discussion is about "perceptual selection" and the four associated concepts.
Think back to your television viewing experiences in the recent past. You can also choose (a) any form of
advertising or promotion, including -- but not limited to -- billboards, other outdoor advertising, magazine
advertising etc. or (b) any product purchase situation.
Identify different television commercial viewing (or other, see above) situations where you think you
engaged in each of the four selective perception concepts (i.e. selective exposure, selective attention,
perceptual defense, and perceptual blocking); and why you did so.
