This assignment is designed to not only to give students an opportunity to practice concepts learned in class, but also to give them experience using tools that are essential in business.
Respond to the following items. Also, be sure to follow guidelines in the syllabus for written work and be sure to check grammar, spelling, etc.
1. Using the information at the bottom of this page, calculate both the averaging and the weighted sales forecasts using Micro Soft Excel. Be sure to write the simple formulas in the spreadsheet, rather than calculating the answers by hand and entering the numbers directly into the spreadsheet.
2. Assuming you are a sales manager, send an email message to me explaining the forecast and including it as an attachment. When writing this email message, be sure to follow the guidelines discussed in class and in Chapter 5 of your textbook.
