Comparison about my introductory

My name is Jani, I am Cuban. I study the biomedical program at Keizer University. I am studying Literature because it is one of the courses that gives us the possibility of knowing something unknown, that is why we read about history or science. Although if we read about fiction or action or a story from when we were children, I think we develop our imagination, because we read it and we think about what the author says in the book. Also reading something is really good to develop writing skills, vocabulary. In addition, as time goes by, as we read more, we have more skills to interpret different texts. This class means to me the ways in which I can improve my language or my vocabulary; because I am Cuban and my first language is Spanish. When I read my first book in English I didn't understand anything, but now it's better for me, I have more vocabulary and I can speak better, thanks to reading books on different topics.
