There are many aspects to Domestic Violence/Violence in the life course perspective
USE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ON CHILDREN FOR THE TOPIC
1. Find a topic in your book that you want to explore further (e.g: current laws, effects of DV on children, research, history- I don't want to give too many examples, because I want you to find something on your own, but I can help you narrow it down a bit if needed)
2. Develop a FACT sheet concerning this topic. This will be distributed to your classmates. I hope to give you a resource guide for this class. - You will turn these in here and also post on a DB after the due date (I will let you know when)
3. The fact sheet will answer the following:
a. What it is you are talking about - define, clarify.
b. Why is it important for students/professionals to know about (a program, treatment for victims/batters, new laws, how to prevent DV) anything.
c. A section on resources for your class
An easy way to see if you fact sheet is educational is to give it to someone that may not know about the topic and see if they learn something new.
