The West Portfolio Project A Prospector's Journey West Imagine that you are a prospector headed West to seek your fortune. Where are you coming from? Are you traveling by sea or overland?
Create a map that traces one of the three major routes many prospectors took to get to California during the Gold Rush. In addition to clearly tracing a chosen route, also label at least three landmarks in the West on your map (these could be cities or geographic landmarks).
Include a traveler's log (at least two pages) that provides written details of your journey, including descriptions of at least three existing landmarks you come across along the way.
You may also include images or pictures of landmarks from your journey and/or pictures or images of the landmarks you labeled on your map.
