The U.S.-Mexico border is emerging as a cultural region unto itself, with strong movements of ideas, products, culture, technology, food, music, and peoples crisscrossing the border on a daily basis. As a result, many places along the border have more in common with their counterparts on the other side than with places well within the U.S. or Mexico. Is this due to a process of globalization and deterritorialization discussed in the textbook? What do you think will become of the border region by 2100? Explain in at least SIX complete sentences.
