The term Internet of Things (IoT) integrates all the things with a connection to the internet. Through automated systems devices are connected. This enables information gathering and analysis. In fact, apparently, it is all about data, devices, and networks because IoT enables devices to communicate with others. This has resulted in a more connected world. As such, the IoT has been of many advantages to business operation. As such, I am for the continuous integration on the Internet of Things (IoT) direction because of various reasons.
First, I believe that a move towards proper things on the internet will help to streamline the communication in an institution or firm (Valacich & Schneider 2016). Effective communication is a key practice for organization success. The process of hiring, training, and monitoring workers requires detailed commutation channels. Internet will help make the communication success in both the internal and external environment, for example, the online conferencing and video meeting. Also, the technology promotes the safeguarding and storing of crucial data. Management of data is critical to all institutions that need to be successful in safe storing helpful data for a long time such as the financial information.
Accordingly, the internet has facilitated the elimination of waste and reduction of costs. Internet becomes very expensive to put in place but it very crucial in the long term. It enables the firms to maintain the operational and the managerial programs (Ivy, 2015). To be precise, it enhances an organization to perform more with less and maintain standards. Besides, it has helped in making strategic decisions.
You are correct when you say that the internet has help with the elimination of waste and better control of costs. But how does the Internet of Things (IoT) further the internet? What makes the IoT stronger than the backbone?
