Steam produced in a boiler is frequently"wet" --- that is, it is a saturated mixture of vapour and entrained liquid droplets. The quality of a wet steam is defined as the fraction of the mixture by mass that is vapour.
(a) The quality of waet steam at 1 bar is 0.07. Use the Steam Table to estimate the enthalpy of 150 kg of this steam.
(b) The specific enthalpy of a wet steam at 150.3°C (5 bars) is determined from the Steam Table to be 2,429 kJ/kg. Caculate the quality of the steam.
