Learners are required to write and present a detailed report which researches diversity options and aligns them with organisational requirements.
In particular the report should:
· Identify current Diversity practices in the organisation
· Identify current staff diversity in the organisation
· Align Diversity Policy and Procedures with strategic and operational plans.
· Identify stakeholders and their issues and requirements
· Analyse policies and processes in similar organisations, or sample policies and procedures
· Develop action plans
· Determine links with other organisational plans and ensure consistency.
Please note that at the end of this task students need to have developed a comprehensive diversity policy or critically reviewed an existing diversity policy. A copy of the diversity policy, created or reviewed, should be contained in the appendices of the report.
The report should be based on the learner's workplace or an organisation they are familiar with. If students do not have access to an organisation a case study is contained within your learning materials that you may wish to use.
Students are required to produce a second report which describes how the diversity policy & procedures are implemented, reviewed and changed where required.
In particular the report should:
· Provide a detailed communication strategy to implement the diversity strategy
· Identify intended and unintended impacts of the diversity strategy
· Develop key performance tools and benchmarks to measure whether implementation of the diversity strategy follows the intended plan
· Monitor internal business and team strategies to ensure alignment with the Diversity strategy
· Using developed key indicators and gathering information from stakeholders, gather information over time as to whether the Diversity strategy has been implemented
