The purpose of this paper is to relate the events of a situation which reveals a problem with motivation in the work place. While delving into the parameters of the situation a comparison to a theory or motivation will be used to clarify the problem. Lastly, using the correlating theory an attempt will be made to reveal an intervention that could be used to change the behaviors exhibited.
When looking into theories of motivation there are two that stand out more than any other theory. The first theory deals with ‘Maslow's Need Hierarchy Theory' (MNHT), the second would be the ‘McClelland's Need.
