The purpose of the experiential activities is to introduce you to specific tools and ideas that you can use along with the theoretical knowledge gained in the course. Each activity will require you to complete an experience. After completing the experience, you will be asked to write and submit a report discussing your findings and to ponder the possible applications of the tools encountered. There is no minimum or maximum page requirement for an experiential assignment. Your goal is to complete each experience and then write about it, according to the directions from each activity. For this activity, you will become acquainted with online advertising. Your task is to find out the process and the cost of placing an online ad using both Google's AdWords program and Microsoft's Bing Ads. It is not necessary to create an ad for this assignment. However, you may choose to use the ad from Experiential Activity
1. Do not spend any money. Google AdWords is a program that allows companies to advertise alongside search results from Google. Bing Ads is a competitor that places ads alongside search results of Microsoft's Bing search engine. Your task is to research the two advertising platforms. Then, write a report, outlining the steps required to create an ad, using both AdWords and Bing Ads. In one paragraph, refer to the pricing structure of both platforms. Steps 1. Visit https://www.google.com/adwords/ and https://advertise.bingads.microsoft.com/en-us/sign-up. Begin your research on the two webpages.
2. Research and outline the steps required to create and deploy an ad, using both platforms.
3. Write a report with the following required sections: a. An outline of the steps to create and launch an ad on each platform b. The pricing structure of each company c. Your stated preference for one over the other (if any), based on your findings.
4. Complete all the steps without spending any money (this should be easy, as all the tools are free to use)
5. Submit your report in the course.
