(The pros of wearing PPE greatly outweigh the cons. Items such as hardhats, safety goggles, and earplugs can keep you protected from some very severe hazards. for example; hardhats protect from falling objects, goggles protect from hazardous materials and chemicals from getting in your eyes, and earplugs can protect you eardrums from loud noises ect. however, all of these items can bring on their own risks as well. As another student already stated, goggles can fog up blurring our vision, earplugs can keep you from hearing other warnings, and hard hats can be hot and uncomfortable to wear. this is wear proper training comes into play. it is important for employees to knowhow to keep goggles from fogging up and how to safely clean them off if they do fog. employees should also be extra aware of their surroundings while wearing earplugs. Overall, PPE are very important for hazardous work sites. even with these added risks, they are much less severe than the risks the PPE is protecting you from in the first place.)
