Problem-
Each person has a set of values derived from family, cultural or other influences (ie religion) that guide their major life decisions. Often people try to establish whether their place of work will be a good fit for them and values can be a common denominator. Values are also important for a manager to know as they have the potential to influence workplace attitudes, behaviour and outputs. Some managers have even been known to base their hiring decisions on an individual's values alone, as skills can be taught, but values are ingrained. Values are the theme for all three assignments with each assignment providing a unique perspective on this topic area, as well a building block for the next assignment.
