Voltage and power on a coaxial line. A coaxial line is made as follows (Figure 14.49): The inner wire diameter is 0.5 mm and the outer one is 6 mm. The material between the conductors is a plastic with relative permittivity of 4 and conductivity of 10-7 S/m. The line is matched at generator and load and is used as a cable TV line at 100 MHz. The peak input voltage to the line is 10 V and the line is 200 m long. Assuming ideal conductors, calculate:
(a) The voltage at the load.
(b) The time averaged power loss on the line.
