The output of the power supply should be a 5 vdc with no

Design a DC power supply to be used in supplying power to a digital circuit board. The supply specifications are as follows. 1) The input voltage is 110 V dc (This would come from a rectifier, but you can ignore the design of the rectifier) 2) The output of the power supply should be a 5 Vdc with no more the 5 mV peak-peak ripple. 3) The output must be galvanically (transformer) isolated from the input, but NO 60 Hz transformers are to be used. 4) The load can be assumed purely resistive. The power supply should operate within the given specification for any load power between 100 W and 200 W. The design should consist of

1) A detailed circuit schematic with all component values labeled (including transformer turns ratios). You should deliver a "first-cut" design that is ready for prototyping and testing.

2) Rationale for the general approach to the design that you have taken. You should refer to the SG3524 regulating pulse width modulator. The switching frequency should be 50 kHz.

3) Detailed justification of component value selections.

4) Justification for any and all assumptions made.

5) You may assume that any capacitors, resistors, transformer or inductors used, are ideal. You need only give turns ratio for transformers.

6) You should also assume that inductors comprise a higher per unit cost in comparison to capacitors, and make minimizing inductor values a higher priority than minimizing capacitor values.
