Discussion - You are the Manager
You are the newly appointed U.S. National Sales Manager for a U.K.-based company that wants to get national distribution in the United States as quickly as possible. So far, you are the only sales person on staff. The company manufactures architectural hardware for homes, schools, colleges, hospitals, nursing homes, and other institutions.
What type of sales organization would you recommend?
How would it be organized? Direct sales, sales reps, or distributors? Why?
How would you get the members of the sales organization to spend time introducing and selling the new product?
