Assessment Guidelines:
The learner is required develop a practical care support activity for a client in the workplace, to enhance the quality of care. The learner should include the following in the activity:
- the planning process
- involvement of other staff
- resources used and detailed description of activity
- client involvement
- the impact of the activity and the quality of care on the client -the communication that took place
Assessment Performance Criteria:
- Comprehensive description of the planning process
- Evidence of effective team working
- Inclusion of client in all aspects of the activity
- Detailed description of the activity
- Clear awareness of needs for good communication
- Comprehensive evaluation of activity, its impact on the client, any recommendations.
