The head of the hearing department at your outpatient clinic wants to purchase a new, state-of-the-art audiology diagnostic suite for $400,000. You have been tasked with reviewing the request. What are some examples of the types of analysis you might perform in considering this use of funds? What other information would you need to complete such an analysis? If it turns out that there is another request for new equipment this years as well (say by the optometrists), but the organization can only fund one of the purchases, would any of your analysis change? How would you decided between the two pieces of equipment?
