The effect of three types of leadership on group productivity and satisfaction was investigated. Groups of five children were randomly constituted and assigned an authoritarian, a democratic, or a laissez-faire leader. Nine groups were formed-three with each type of leader.
The groups worked on various projects for a week. Measures of each child's personal satisfaction were taken and pooled to give a score for each child. The data are presented in the accompanying table. Test all possible comparisons with a Wilcoxon-Wilcox test.
