The data set egg prod in the faraway package contains the results of a randomized block experiment. Six pullets (young chickens) were placed into each of 12 pens. The 12 pens were divided into four blocks based on location. In each block, one pen was given each of three treatments. The egg production was then recorded for each pen.
- Do the treatments differ? Carry out an appropriate test and evaluate the results.
- Use Tukey's pairwise comparison method to see which treatment pairs differ significantly.
