The conveyor system is driven by a 240 Volt 50 Hz AC motor requiring a continuous 1 Amp supply. The conveyor has single direction operation.
The loading mechanism for the winder is fully automatic and only requires a single control signal of a logic '1' for load (and hold loaded) and a '0' for unload.
The winding machine requires six (6) bits into to the winder identify the number of turns to be wound. The 6 bit values between 2 and 40 represent the range of 200 to 4000 turns. (ie the number of turns is 100 times the input value) A single active low pulse (0.25s) is required to start the winding machine, and a single bit output (0 while busy, 1 when finished) is provided by the winder indicating the status of the winding task.
The sluice control of the hopper uses two (2) solenoid coils, each requiring 1 Amp for 0.25 second from a 12 Volt DC supply in order to open or close the gate. Assume the material flow is instantaneous on/off at the end of the 0.25 second open/close control signal.
Two Infrared beam sensors are used to verify the presence of a mould under the hopper and under the winder. Each provides an active low signal when an object cuts its beam.
The temperature measurement device provides a 0 - 5Volt analog signal indicating the temperature of the molten ceramic material over the range 0 to 10200C in 4 degree steps.
