Macaroni and cheese packages specify how long to cook the pasta in boiling water. In general, foods that are cooked at lower temperatures need longer cooking times. On some packages, a longer length of time for cooking the pasta is specified if cooking the pasta at high elevations (for example above 3,500 ft above sea level). Describe why this is so.
