The ability to retain talented employees should be a goal of every organization. Turnover, whether voluntary or involuntary, can cost an organization. However, there is an acceptable, even desired, level of turnover in an organization. Choose two industries (i.e. military, retail, government) and detail their industry employee turnover ratio/statistic. Is it desirable for that industry? Why or why not? What are the general causes related to turnover/retention, and what is the single greatest factor an organization can utilize to retain turnover at the most desirable level?
