TEST TUBE BABY -
- Ova are fertilized in laboratory dish (in vitra) containing a nutrient broth.
- It may be artificial insemination donor (AID) / Artificial insemination husband (AIH).
- After 2.5 days, at 32 cells stage, embryo is placed in uterus for implantation.
- Mother will give birth to a normal child after completion of gestation.
- The success rate of it is 20%.
- First test tube baby was born in England as Louise Joy Brown (girl) on 25th July 1978.
- First test tube baby was born in India on 6th Aug. 1986 named Harsha (girl).
Note :- A developing embryo can be inserted in the uterus of another female (surrogate mother).
