A large Nichrome V slab, 0.2 m thick, has two parallel 1 cm I.D. holes drilled through it. Their centers are 8 cm apart. One carries liquid CO2 at 1.2 m/s from a -13?C reservoir below. The other carries methanol at 1.9 m/s from a 47?C reservoir above.
Take account of the intervening Nichrome and compute the heat transfer. Need we worry about the Co2 being warmed up by the methanol?
