Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract
The diseases of gastrointestinal system are manifested by abnormality in prehension, mastication and swallowing, excessive salivation, diarrhea, constipation and scanty faeces, vomition, abdominal pain, paralytic ileus, hemorrhages into alimentary tract, shock and dehydration, and/ or abdominal distension. These signs are produced due to disturbances in motor function like hyper- or hypo-motility, secretory, digestive and/ or absorptive functions.
