System Proposal for Autos R Us
Background: About the Business-
Autos R us was founded in 1985 in Orange County, California. They are a small business that sells automotive interior accessories such as seat covers and dash covers. They are open only on Saturdays and Sundays, and the rest of the week they fill, process, and ship orders. They currently do not use any enterprise systems, they simply use file cabinets. The disadvantages of using file cabinets to store data are: bulk, data repetition, lost, damaged or stolen data, and difficulty sifting through the data. The implementation of a CRM system will help Auto's R Us organize and consolidate their valuable 30 years' worth of data, and make it possible to integrate their CRM with their website later on.
Project Plan: Business Problem-
Currently Autos R Us does not have a CRM system. As mentioned, they are still using file cabinets, which is an out dated method of storing data. In addition to the obvious disadvantages of using file cabinets, they rely heavily on employee time and resources. This has been costing the company countless extra hours that it could have been using to improve its processes or increase productivity instead. In Addition, if they wanted to send out promotional coupons of fliers to previous customers, they would need to do countless hours of reading, writing, and sifting through data.
