After the takeover of Air India, tata group is planning a revival strategy. Already a rebranding is underway and some of the operational issues are being looked into. Another key challenges to be dealt with is that of an unfavourable attitude towards the airline among domestic fliers. Most passengers thought of Air India as unfashionable, expensive, unsafe and having poor record of on-time performance. While some of it is not without truth, Air India also holds certain advantages over other carriers. It has relatively more leg space, most experienced flight crew, elaborate in-flight menu options, option to carry extra baggage and the tag of being truly Indian. On safety and on-time performance, Air India's record was comparable to any other Indian airlines. Average passenger did not know many of these facts and carried an unfavourable attitude towards the brand itself. Suggest strategies (at least four different options) that can be used to change passengers' attitude.
