Exercise #13, Use memo format for this exercise; you may use my nameon the “To” line.  Use a “Subject” line appropriate to the assignment.  In keeping with the principle that business communications are either positive or neutral, do not express any annoyance at your office being moved inconveniently for you.  The company's needs supersede your needs.  Your meeting with a client Monday is important to the company and you do need unfettered access to your office.  Note that the assignment instructs you to ask your supervisor to either cancel the move or contact you before the move is begun.  Again, the message should be submitted in email format. (One page with single-spaced)

13.Late on a Friday a?ernoon, you learn that the facilities department is going to move you—and your computer, your desk, and all your ?les—to another o?ce ?rst thing Monday morning. However, you have an important client meeting scheduled in your o?ce for Monday a?ernoon, and you need to ?nalize some contract details on Monday morning. You simply can’t lose access to your o?ce at this point, and you’re more than a little annoyed that your boss didn’t ask you before approving the move. He has already le?for the day, but you know he usually checks his voice mail over the weekend, so you decide to leave a message, asking him to cancel the move or at least call you at home as soon as possible. Using the voice-mail guidelines listed in Table 2.5, plan your message (use an imaginary phone number as your contact number and make up any other details you need for the call). As directed by your instructor, submit either a written script of the message or a podcast recording of the actual message.
