Advanced exercise: Books and articles describing neural networks sometimes propose the use of a genetic computer algorithm that somewhat simulates natural biological evolution. During evolution, the "fittest" network (having the best capabilities to produce a superior solution) will survive. The algorithm method can be used to select the best inputs for a network, estimate an optimal number of hidden layers, and evaluate the best hidden neurons in each layer.
