Assignment task: Business is SSM Landscaping LLC
Make an elevator speech, approximately 1-2 minutes long. Let's say, you are trapped in an elevator, and you only have a minute or two of someone's attention. This is your chance to tell everyone you meet about your awesome business. You never know when you will come across a potential customer, investor or employee.
1. Identify Your Goal
Start by thinking about the objective of your pitch. For this assignment, it is to convince someone to become your first customer. (If you prefer, you can convince someone to become your first investor!)
2. Explain What You Do
Start your pitch by describing what your organization does. Focus on the problems that you solve and how you help people.
3. Communicate Your USP
Your elevator pitch also needs to communicate your unique value proposition, or unique selling proposition. Identify what makes you, your organization, or your idea, unique. This should focus on your specific customer (what needs they have), and how you are able to meet those specific customer needs in a way your competitors can't.
