Squamous keratinizing epithelium-not for lining of trachea

1) Stratified squamous keratinizing epithelium is the outstanding barrier to pathogens in epidermis of skin. In spite of the fact that it is such a excellent barrier, this tissue would not be appropriate for lining of trachea or small intestine. Describe why in detail.

2) Bacterial DNA containing the operon encoding three enzymes is set up into chromosomal DNA in yeast (a eukaryote) in such a way that it is correctly flanked by the promoter and the transcriptional terminator. Bacterial DNA is transcribed and RNA accurately processed, but only protein nearest the promoter is produced. Can you recommend why? Describe in detail.
