Make several points about the topic and explain them using examples from scholarly sources (cited in APA format) to support your argument. Simply making a general statement without explanation and support, lacks credibility and persuasiveness.
APA format requires writing in the third person. Avoid writing in the first person or using words such as "I" or "you."
