Soldering
This is a group of join process, which generates, coalescence of materials by heating them to a suitable temperature and by using a filler metal having a melting point not more than 450 °C and below the melting point of the base material. The filler material is distributed between the closely fitted surfaces of the joint by capillary action.
Some of the popular soldering processes are:
- 1. Dip soldering
- 2. Induction soldering
- 3. Iron soldering
- 4. Torch soldering
- 5. Furnace soldering
- 6. Infra red soldering
- 7. Resistance soldering
- 8. Wave soldering
