Assignment task: The social problem should relate to one of the social problems discussed in Ch. 7-14 of Social Welfare Policy and Advocacy: Advancing Social Justice Through Eight Policy Sectors.
Movie: Leave No Trace 2018
1. Include the title of the movie and a short summary of the plot.
2. Provide a brief social history of the main character in the movie. Ensure you include strengths.
3. Discuss the social problem the main character is encountering in their environment and how it impacts them.
4. Also, briefly discuss the scope of this problem. (For example: If you are writing about homelessness, discuss how many people in the United States are experiencing homelessness, who it most effects, etc.)
5. Summarize what changes the main character is seeking in their life.
6. Research policy related to the identified social problem the main character is coping with. Identify and discuss at least one state or federal policy that relates to the problem. Discuss your initial thoughts on what changes are needed or what additional policies may benefit this individual related to their social problem.
