John Anderson is section chief for the electric company. Employees in the section cut down trees, climb poles, and splice wire. John reported given information to management of utility company. "Of 100 employees in my section, 57 can splice wire; 50 can climb poles; 11 can do all three; 20 can climb poles and splice wire; 45 can cut trees; 28 can cut trees and climb poles; 25 can cut trees and splice wire; 9 can't do any of the three (management trainees).
a) Sketch the Venn diagram of John's section of electric company using T = those who cut trees, P = those who climb poles, and W = those who splice wire and write every region with correct number of employees.
b) Using information from question a, discuss the result. Is Mr. Anderson's report correct? Explain why/why not?
