Problem: Reword. My management style for that night was very effective. I combine situational leadership with transactional leadership. I used situational leadership to promptly adapt myself to the unexpected situation in which I found myself. I quickly assessed the situation on the ground-the number of patients, the severity of patients' cases, the number of nurses on duty and the available resources. I used the outcome of my situation analysis to assign roles and delegate tasks for a successful night shift. I used transactional leadership to boost the morale of the nurses on duty by promising them a free lunch if they carry out their duties effectively and efficiently and it worked because no one wanted to be left out of the free lunch.
