Significance of mcdonald v. chicago for second amendment


Problem: What was the significance of McDonald v. Chicago (2010) for the Second Amendment? The Supreme Court found that the Second Amendment only protected the right of the states to organize a militia. The Supreme Court found that the Second Amendment did NOT apply actions by the federal government. The Supreme Court found that Second Amendment protections also apply to the states. The Supreme Court found that ANY gun control laws were violations of the Second Amendment.
